Oakland Raiders linebacker Aldon Smith is being sought by police after he allegedly fled the scene of a domestic violence incident in San Francisco on Saturday night.
Smith, a former San Francisco 49er, is the suspect in a domestic violence incident that left a victim suffering non-life threatening injuries at around 8:30 p.m. on Bush Street between Stockton and Powell streets, where multiple tourist hotels are located.
San Francisco Police Department investigators with Special Victims Unit are seeking an interview with Smith. Police are asking Smith or anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts at (415) 575-4444.
Smith, a 28-year-old Oakland resident, was the seventh overall draft pick in 2011 and Defensive Player of the Year in 2012. But his career has since been fraught with arrests and other off-the-field issues.
