SFPD investigates New Year’s Eve stabbing

San Francisco police responded to a stabbing New Year’s Eve in the Tenderloin neighborhood, police said on social media.

Sometime before 8:50 p.m. a person had been stabbed at Ellis and Leavenworth streets.

Police said the victim’s injuries initially appeared life-threatening. The victim is later listed in stable condition.

Anyone with information about the stabbing is asked to call the Police Department’s Tenderloin District station at (415) 345-7300.
