Wait lists for beds at homeless shelters have reached an all-time high this week. Jennifer Friedbach, the Executive Director of the Coalition on Homelessness, reports that 1,126 people are currently in line for available beds.

The waitlist exceeded 1,000 people for the first time in December.

The 2016-2017 winter is predicted to be one of the wettest seasons recorded in California history.
