After a sixth-inning score by the Red Devils last Thursday halted a three-game Stuart Hall winning streak, the Knights got back into the swing of things on Wednesday, rattling off 14 hits in a 12-2 win over Oakland-Head-Royce at San Francisco State.

After getting into some early trouble with a wild pitch bringing across a run in the first, starter Dylan Banks would allow just one more score and just two hits over four innings. Luke Moore and Haakon Black both came on in relief to close things out.

Black had already had an impact on the game, singling on a 2-0 count in the bottom of the first to tie things up at 1-1.

The Knights (4-2) pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning, when Jonathan Newsome drove in a run with a 2-1 single, and Jack Pirrone driving in another on a first-pitch double. Pirrone went 3-for-3 on the day with that double, a walk and a pair of RBIs.

Stuart Hall added five more runs in the fifth, with Black, Moore, Pirrone, Zeke Noveshen and James Cross each driving home runs.

Newsome finished 2-for-3 with two walks, a double, two runs and three RBIs. Black went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and three RBIs. Freshman Bo Darwin went 2-for-5 with a double and two runs, while junior Ryan Darwin went 2-for-5 with a pair of runs scored.
