SF police kill dog after it attacks officer

A police officer fatally shot a dog that bit the officer several times Sunday evening in the Bayview.

Officers responded to a 911 call at 6:08 p.m. to a home in the 1400 block of Oakdale Avenue, police said. The dog attacked the officer as the officer approached the home. It was not immediately known what the call was about.
