Separate shootings injure three men in Mission, Oceanview over weekend

A teenager was running home in the Mission District early Saturday morning when someone shot him, marking the first of three separate shootings reported in San Francisco over the weekend.

The 19-year-old man was shot on York Street between 24th and 25th streets at around 12:57 a.m., according to police. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. A shooter has not been identified.

Early the following morning, police said a 44-year-old man was shot while running away from an unidentified man who pulled out a gun at around 2:39 a.m. in Oceanview.

The victim was shot after meeting the man and a 30-year-old woman outside a residential building on Plymouth Avenue between Broad and Sadowa streets, according to police.

The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. The suspects fled the scene and have not been arrested.

Hours later Sunday afternoon, a 20-year-old man was shot while driving along South Van Ness Avenue near 16th Street.

The man drove himself to the hospital at around 12:17 p.m. and is expected to survive.

A suspect has not been identified.
