It’s true: Serena Williams is pregnant.
On Wednesday, the tennis great — who’s engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian — shared a photo of herself wearing a yellow swimsuit on Snapchat with the caption “20 weeks,” which disappeared, but not before it was saved and social media went wild with speculation.
Later in the day, her spokeswoman Kelly Bush Novak emailed the Associated Press: “I’m happy to confirm Serena is expecting a baby this fall.”
It turns out she was pregnant when she won the Australian Open, her 23rd Grand Slam singles title, in January — a little less than 12 weeks ago.
USA Today points out that she has not competed since, withdrawing from competition at Indian Wells and Key Biscayne, Fla., citing a knee injury.
Perhaps she’ll follow in the footsteps of Belgian champ Kim Clijsters, who bounced back with major wins after having her first baby. Then there’s Belarusian pro Victoria Azarenka, who gave birth in December and said she’ll be playing again, too.

It’s official: Bill O’Reilly has lost his job at Fox News following complaints he’s been a sexual predator.
On Wednesday, the conservative news channel’s parent company 21st Century Fox issued a statement saying that, “after a careful review of the allegations,” the commentator, who was vacationing in Italy, wouldn’t be returning.
Representatives for O’Reilly, who continued to deny the charges, said he was “resigned” to his demise, according to the Washington Post.
The paper also reported that the TV host’s attorney Fred Newman “couldn’t save his client’s job,” noting that Rupert Murdoch and his sons James and Lachlan, who head 21st Century, “decided O’Reilly’s fate with little outside discussion.”
The ouster is the latest in the ongoing sexual harassment scandal, in which top talent Gretchen Carlson and Megyn Kelly left the company for similar reasons, prompting the departure of (former) CEO Roger Ailes. ]
Julia Roberts has broken a record, earning People’s “Most Beautiful Woman in the World” title for the fifth time; the star, who told editor Jess Cagle she was “very flattered,” also won in 1991, 2000, 2005 and 2010, putting her well ahead of her old friend George Clooney, who’s been the “Sexiest Man Alive” twice. … Richard Simmons, who hasn’t been seen publicly since 2014, told People “I hope to see you all soon” and shared a photo of himself after he went to the hospital on Monday with severe indigestion.
