It sounds like a scene from a movie she could have been in: Selma Blair flipped out on an airplane, prompting a visit from paramedics on the runway in Los Angeles.

TMZ reported that the 43-year-old actress attracted attention when she screamed, “He burns my private parts. He won’t let me eat or drink. He beats me. He’s going to kill me” on a Delta flight going from Cancun to Southern California.

According to People magazine, the star was greeted by emergency workers at LAX when the plane landed, and she was taken to a Los Angeles hospital on Monday.

A source told People, “It looks like she had taken a combination of prescription medication with alcohol.”

Passengers (including nurses) on the plane told TMZ that Blair, who was returning from a Father’s Day vacation with her 4-year-old son Arthur and his dad (and her ex) Jason Bleick, was seated in first class, drinking wine, when she broke down in tears and began to rant.

Bleick hasn’t commented, but on Tuesday, he posted a photo of the youngster on Instagram, with the caption: “A new day & an early morning stick hunt with dad.”

BIG SCIENTOLOGY STUDIO

The U.K. Daily Mail has issued an exclusive report from the May 28 opening of the new Church of Scientology studio complex in Hollywood, and it looks like a doozy.

The $50 million facility on Sunset Boulevard, as big as Paramount Pictures in size, not only will produce films — with its most famous proponent, Tom Cruise — but has set up a CNN-style news operation.

Although Scientology officials said 10,000 people were at the closely guarded opening, the Daily Mail reported significantly fewer in attendance.

In a press release, leader David Miscavige said, “Our facilities will be open for all manner of community events, telethons, religious programming of all faiths, you name it.”

Why don’t we quite believe that?
