Denise Richards is setting the record straight about her relationship with her ex-friend Heather Locklear’s soon-to-be ex-husband, Richie Sambora.
First of all, Richards insists that she would never, EVER, hook up with her best friend’s husband. You see, Richards and Locklear were never best friends, just good friends.
“You know, she wasn’t my best friend. She was a close friend in the last couple of years,” Richards told “Entertainment Tonight. “[It’s] been tough having people think that I’m such a crappy friend.”
Richards, 35, goes on to say that she didn’t mean to get with the 46-year-old Bon Jovi guitarist, it just happened … you know, a few days after she filed court papers regarding soon-to-be ex-husband Charlie Sheen, alleging physical abuse, and drug, gambling and porn addictions.
“It’s true when they say things happen when you least expect it,” Richards said. “You can’t help who you fall for.”
British tabloids, Heather Mills is putting you on notice. The soon-to-be-ex-Mrs. Paul McCartney says after the couple’s divorce, she plans to sue all the newspapers that have been digging into her past.
“She will defer issue of legal proceedings until the arrangements in relation to the divorce are concluded but intends to sue at that stage all parties (including individuals) who are intent on damaging her reputation,” read a statement from the law firm of Coyle White Devine.
According to our Legalese to English dictionary, that loosely translates to, “After I ditch my man, you’re gonna pay for what you said about me.”
Since the couple announced their split on May 17, the British gossip tabs have targeted Mills, including publishing naked or seminaked photos of her from her old-school modeling days. News of the Worldeven published an article claiming Mills, 38, worked as a high-priced call girl in her 20s.
Couch-jumping weirdo and “Mission: Impossible III” star Tom Cruise offered his congrats to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie on the birth of their baby, Shiloh, in the form of a greeting card.
“Congratulations! You’re doing a fine job following in my footsteps,” Cruise wrote in the card, according to The Daily Mirror.
Lest you forget, Cruise and Katie Holmes welcomed their daughter, Suri, in April.
“Tom and Brad have a friendly rivalry since acting together [in ‘Interview with a Vampire’],” an insider told the Daily Mirror. “The card was taken in good spirits.”
The strange, downward spiral of Alec Baldwin continues.
Costume designer Patricia Field quit the upcoming big-screen adaptation of “A Girls’ Guide to Hunting and Fishing,” after repeated brawls with Baldwin.
“I’m not interested in fighting,” Field told the New York Daily News. “I don’t want to be spending my time on negativity.”
That’s not the strange part. Wait for it.
When asked for comment, Baldwin referred to Field as a “fruit-salad head” and a “whack-job, 24-7.”
“When Pat left, virtually everybody on the film was relieved,” Baldwin replied. “She is a cranky, miserably unhappy woman, and I’m actually one of the few people on the set that actually gave Pat a chance.”
To Baldwin’s credit, his “Hunting” co-star, Sarah Michelle Gellar, has his back.
“Alec has been a doll, and anything else you’ve heard is entirely one-sided and untrue,” the actress formerly known as “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” told the paper. “Alec has been a dream co-star. It hurt me so deeply that anyone would say anything else.”
What is a “fruit-salad head” anyway? Anyone?
