Scoop! Are Mandy Moore and Zach Braff over?

Gossip hounds are barking that Zach Braff, 31, and Mandy Moore, 22, have quietly ended their relationship after 18 months.

“There was no drama. They were ready,” an insider told Us Weekly, who claimed the couple’s nine-year age difference contributed to their breakup. “Mandy was very young when they got together and she wanted to see what’s out there, now that she’s a woman. Zach was mature and realized it was time to let her do that.”

The couple’s reps are declining to comment on the alleged split, but Moore posted a venomous rant on her Web site about the tabloid stories.

“I believe that personal issues [like this one] should be kept private,” Moore writes about her relationship with the “Scrubs” star. “This sort of unscrupulous conduct should be unethical for the media to practice and I’m sickened by the extent that these people are willing to go to make a name for themselves. I hope tabloid reporters become as famous as me one day so they can experience the scrutiny that they put others through.”

Your hope is duly noted, Mandy.

David Lynch, wife split after one month of marriage

Speaking of crazy kids who can’t make it work …

Leave it to filmmaker to have a strange marriage and impending divorce. The 60-year-old director of “Mulholland Drive” has filed for divorce from his wife, producer Mary Sweeney, after a month of marriage. The “Twin Peaks” creator cited the ever-popular “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split in court papers filed on Monday.

If you don’t think it’s strange that a couple is divorcing after one month of marriage, then we should mention that Lynch and Sweeney have been together for a long time and have worked together for more than 20 years on various Lynch projects, starting with 1986’s “Blue Velvet.” Oh, and they have a 14-year-old son, Riley Sweeney Lynch.

This divorce makes Lynch a three-time loser when it comes to marriage. Perhaps he should just stick to makingmovies and TV shows that a majority of viewers don’t understand.

Lewis has a ‘mild’ heart attack

Comedian-telethon guru Jerry Lewis has postponed a July engagement to perform at the Orleans hotel-casino in Las Vegas after suffering a “mild” heart attack on Sunday.

Lewis is expected to make a full recovery. Don’t worry; this won’t slow down the Broadway musical adaptation of Lewis’ 1963 flick “The Nutty Professor.”

“It’s not going to affect us,” executive producer Ned McLeod, who bought the rights to develop the show, told The Associated Press.

Paris: ‘I don’t need a man’

“Simple Life” star Paris Hilton says she loves the single life.

The hotel heiress, who in the last two years has been romantically linked to not one, but two Greek shipping heirs and most recently Arizona Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinhart, claims that she is spending more time figuring out who she really is. We here at Scoop would love to clue her in …

“I always have a boyfriend all the time, so I’ve never really got to know me and, like, have time for myself because I spend all my energy on the boyfriend,” Hilton said on “Live with Regis and Kelly.” “I’m a very strong woman. I don’t need a man. I can be on my own.”

That’s right, people. She can be on her own … with her parents’ billions of dollars.
