A-listers Meryl Streep, Ava DuVernay, Salma Hayek, Carey Mulligan, Alicia Vikander, Kate Winslet, Zoe Saldana and Dakota Johnson congratulated each other at a lovefest at the 22nd annual Elle Women in Hollywood awards in Beverly Hills.

But all is not well in Tinseltown, as participants lamented the lack of equality in the male-dominated industry, Variety reports.

Streep drew applause at Monday night’s event when she said, “What if they had this great big meeting once a year, and they called it ‘Men in Hollywood,’ and they had like, 17 percent women there — who felt besieged and awkward — and they gave a lot of awards to the men of Hollywood, we would be pissed! Oh wait. They have those meetings … every day, in every city, in every country in the world.”

Comic darling Amy Schumer, who accepted her award from Lena Dunham, received some of the biggest adulation of the night, E Online reports.

“I know everybody is sick of me and I need to be treated for overexposure,” she said, smiling, and commented, “We know I’m not going to be famous for very long, because I’m burning bridges all over town … but you’re going to be looking at this f—ing cabbage patch face for a long time.”

In other Schumer news, fashion observers pointed out that the bright red gown she wore was remarkably similar to the Calvin Klein Collection number her sort of BFF Jennifer Lawrence donned at the 2011 Oscars ceremony.

Speaking of similarities, Schumer is denying she stole an exceptionally dirty bit about sex from the late comic’s comic Patrice O’Neal, who died in 2011. The court of public opinion may decide on this one: Video of Schumer’s 2015 performance at the Apollo is online, as is O’Neal’s routine, from his aptly titled “Nasty Show.”
