Woman uses bomb threat in attempted bank robbery

A 50-year-old woman threatened to blow up a bank in San Bruno on Wednesday if she wasn’t given cash, cops said Thursday.

Jacqueline Casalou, of Menlo Park, allegedly claimed to have explosives before demanding money at the Chase Bank at 1200 El Camino Real around 10:40 a.m., according to the San Bruno Police Department.

Employees called 911, and responding cops soon located and arrested Casalou without incident, cops said.

The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office sent an explosives detection K-9 unit to the bank, but no devices were found, police said.
