Woman runs red light, strikes San Francisco police car

A woman allegedly ran a red light and struck a San Francisco police car Sunday, injuring an officer, in the South of Market neighborhood.

The collision at the intersection of Fifth and Brannan streets occurred at about 2:45 p.m., police said. The injuries to the police officer were not life threatening.

As of Monday morning, the female driver was not identified, nor was the condition of the officer in the hospital.
