Local paddleboarders captured video of whales near Ocean Beach.

The video appeared on Richmond SF blog and offers an up close view of the whales swimming alongside the paddleboarders and breeching.

A whale sighting at this time of year is somewhat unsual, according to a local whale watching organization, SF Bay Whale Watching. But the stars of the video are likely gray whales, as they migrate from Baja Calfornia to the Bering Sea.

Check out the video below. If you want to skip the views of the Golden Gate Bridge, the whales show up at the 2:30 mark.
