Was Anna Nicole planning a wedding?

Was Anna Nicole Smith planning to legally wed her lawyer-lover Howard K. Stern? In a new interview with "Entertainment Tonight" and "The Insider," Howard says he and the late model had scheduled their nuptials for Feb. 27. (Their September commitment ceremony was purely symbolic.)

"We were going to make everything legally binding in less than two weeks," Howard says. Interesting choice of words.

Speaking of legal matters, Howard also detailed the contents of Anna’s will: "Because [daughter] Dannielynn wasn’t here [yet], everything went to [son] Daniel. But now Daniel’s gone and Dannielynn is an only child, everything goes to Dannielynn. I am named executor in that will, and I was also appointed or named as Daniel’s guardian in that will."

Yet with Dannielynn’s paternity uncertain, the fate of her inheritance may be up in the air.

Stay tuned: There’s much more of this tangled tale to unravel.

Kate: Weight Debate

(AP Photo/Sang Tan) Living proof that you don't have to be sickly skinny to be beautiful: British actress Kate Winslet arrives for the BAFTA film awards ceremony at the Royal Opera House in London, Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007.

How much do we love Kate Winslet? The Oscar-nominated actress is so determined to maintain a normal, healthy body image in the face of scary-skinny Hollywood standards, she is blasting back against a British tabloid report that she’s visiting a diet specialist.

"I’m going to fight for myself. I don’t want people thinking that I would ever go to a diet doctor, I would ever buy into that stuff. I never have done, I never will," Kate asserted Sunday at the UK’s prestigious BAFTA Awards.

As intelligent, outspoken and down-to-earth as she is gorgeous, Kate went on, "I will continue to say what I feel about this issue of women being thin and emaciated. It’s just out of control."

"I know I’m a role model to young women. It’s a role that I take very, very seriously and I would never want anyone to ever think I was a hypocrite in doing something like going to a diet doctor, for goodness sake."

Kate’s rep says she is planning to sue the magazine for libel. Go, girl!

Latifah: Baby Beef?

(AP Photo/Carolyn Kaster) Queen Latifah, shown above at the Sundance Film Festival, says she would adopt children from the 'hood.

Did Queen Latifah just dis Angelina Jolie and Madonna? The multitalented rapper-singer-actress shared her dream of motherhood with Ellen DeGeneres on Monday — and managed to work in a not-so-subtle dig against international adoption.

"I totally want, like, 18 babies," Latifah gushed. "Ever since I was 18, I wanted a baby and I wanted to have and adopt because there are a lot of kids."

But the "Chicago" star went on, "I want to adopt an American baby, though … no offense." (Ahem — offense to whom?) "Just because there are so many kids here that need ourhelp. … Nothing against going out[side] the country. That’s great, and I get why a lot of people do it — because of the laws here. I just feel like if I do I would help a kid right [here] in the hood."

Gee, who could Latifah possibly be talking about?

Ivanka: Forget Paris

(AP Photo/Mark J. Terrill) Heiress Ivanka Trump, shown above at the Golden Globe Awards ceremony, does not want to be compared to heiress Paris Hilton.

Ivanka Trump is sick of being lumped into the same "heirhead" category as Paris Hilton.

The Donald’s daughter says there’s no comparison between her hardworking lifestyle and "party kid" Paris’ table-dancing, sex-tape-making antics.

"I think we are totally different individuals," Ivanka tells the London Express. "If I were to go off the rails and become this party kid, I would not be able to afford my lifestyle. I’ve never had a sense of entitlement. I saw how hard my father worked for his money and it was always made very clear to me that things wouldn’t just be given to me."

For the record, the model, businesswoman and "Apprentice" co-star points out, "I work 13-hour days for my money. I bought my house from my father — I have a mortgage, you know."

Fair enough — but we bet the last name on the mortgage application didn’t hurt.
