The designs, which are not yet finalized and still need approval from several state and local agencies, show the placement of the elements of the development on Piers 30-32 along The Embarcadero south of the Bay Bridge.

The designs were done by two companies  — Snøhetta and AECOM — who the team selected as designers of the project.

Key elements of the design include the positioning of the arena on the southeastern portion of the pier to keep open views of the Bay from The Embarcadero. The project also includes more than 50 percent of the piers remaining as open space for the public.
