Mark Jackson’s second season as coach of the Warriors will tip off Halloween night on the road against the Phoenix Suns.

The Warriors went 23-43 in an abbreviated first season for Jackson due to a volatile labor situation that wasn’t resolved until just before Christmas.

But with a revamped roster that includes veteran center Andrew Bogut, acquired via trade from the Milwaukee Bucks, and veteran guard Jarret Jack to go along with rookies Harrison Barnes, Festus Ezeli and Draymond Green, the Warriors are expecting to put a better product on the floor.

Following the opener in Phoenix, the Warriors begin their Oracle Arena schedule Nov. 2 against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Much of the early portion of the season will be spent on the road as 15 of the Warriors’ first 24 games are away from Oracle Arena.

That is made up at the end of the season, with 16 of the final 22 games at home, beginning with a season-high seven-game homestand March 4-15. The NBA champion Miami Heat make their lone visit to Oakland on Jan. 16, while the team they beat in the Finals, the Oklahoma City Thunder, follow Jan. 23.
While the Warriors travel to the Los Angeles Lakers for the first time Nov. 9, the SoCal rival doesn’t come north until Dec. 22.

As for national exposure, the Warriors have eight appearances on national TV — three games on TNT and five on ESPN.

NOTE: The Warriors signed rookie free-agent swingman Kent Bazemore on Thursday. Bazemore, known for his defense, averaged 8.5 points per game for the Warriors’ summer league team.
