Yesterday, Federal Judge Roger Vinson ruled the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, a.k.a. Obamacare, was unconsitutional. Specifically, he ruled that the law's mandate that all Americans buy health insurance was not justified by the commerce clause. Many observers noted that the Judge specifically tweaked Obama by citing his own words when he was campaigning against Hillary Clinton and opposed the mandate that was in her health care proposal:
“So, I focus more on lowering costs. This is a modest difference. But, it’s one that she’s tried to elevate, arguing that because I don’t force people to buy health care that I’m not insuring everybody. Well, if things were that easy, I could mandate everybody to buy a house, and that would solve the problem of homelessness. It doesn’t."
Well, just for fun, via CNS News, here's the video of Obama saying exactly that:
Something tells me this video might turn up in a few campaign ads next year.
