Vandals that scrawled “No More Cuts,” “Education is Liberation” and “No Business As Usual” on walls at a City College of San Francisco campus ended up costing the school $7,000 — the price of one class.
That’s according to a report by San Francisco Community College Officer Rachele Hakes in the City College newsletter on March 1.
Last week at around 2 a.m., “the Ocean Campus was vandalized using spay paint,” the report said. “The exterior walls of many of the campus buildings ... and many of the plaza areas and sidewalks were painted by unknown suspects.”
Also painted was the date: “3/4/10,” when a large rally will be held in The City protesting state cuts to education.
Folks are probably hoping these suspects don’t show up.
By the way, here’s a bit of higher learning for these vandals:
In her report, Officer Rachele Hakes noted the suspects could have considered using chalk on the sidewalks to make their point.
