Update on graffiti, trash in the Richmond 

Richmond District residents will receive an update on The City’s efforts to curb displays of graffiti in the neighborhood.

Supervisor Eric Mar, the Department of Public Works, the Police Department, and members of The City’s Graffiti Advisory Board will meet with the community at the Richmond Recreation Center at 5:30 p.m. Monday night

Graffiti abatement has long been a challenge in San Francisco and city officials have increased their efforts to tackle the problem in recent months, including examining ways to make building owners clean up “tagging” in a more expedient manner .

Earlier this month, the Police Department unveiled new technology that is designed to help track and predict where graffiti vandals might strike next.
