Thugs throw unknown powder in man’s face before robbing him

Two thugs threw powder in a man’s face and robbed him at gunpoint in the Mission on Wednesday, cops said.

The 38-year-old victim was walking in the 400 block of Capp Street around 11 p.m. when he was approached by the thugs, one of which drew a black handgun. The other thug threw an unknown powder into the victim’s eyes and knocked him to the ground.

The hoodlums then grabbed his cellphone, wallet and cash, cops said. They ran to a waiting 90s model 4-door green sedan and fled the scene. No arrests have been made. The victim was treated at St. Luke’s for nonlife-threatening injuries.

The three suspects, including the driver, were described by police as men in their 20s, they said.
