Thieves target preoccupied parents in separate robberies

A man holding his daughter in his arms was powerless when a greedy goon pick-pocketed him in San Francisco on Saturday, police at Ingleside Station said.

The crook grabbed the dad from behind and swiped his wallet from his back pocket in the unit block of 30th Street just before 10 p.m.

The crook even took the time to pull out some cash during the heist near Bernal Heights, police said.

The robber fled with the cash.

It was the second robbery of the day in which a robber targeted a preoccupied parent.

Around 4 p.m. in the 1500 block of Geneva Avenue, a woman who took her kids to play at Crocker Amazon Playground was robbed of her purse. She went to check on her kids, leaving her purse unattended. When she returned, the purse was gone, police said.

There have been no reports of arrests in the cases as of Monday, police said.
