An officer went up to a 50-year-old man sitting in a stolen car and asked: Whose car is this?

The man replied, “I borrowed it.”

The cop then asked the man: Why are you on probation?

And the man replied, “For borrowing cars.”

The man was arrested and charged with vehicle theft in the 200 block of Third Avenue at around 12:10 p.m. on Feb. 22, police said.
