Teen shot outside Powell Street BART station is in critical condition

A 16-year-old boy was critically injured in a shooting near Halliday Plaza and Powell Street BART Station on Friday evening, police said Monday.

The victim was assaulted by a group of heartless teens at Cyril Magnin and Eddy streets just before 7 p.m., police said. One of the teens pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the arm and torso before they all fled on foot.

The suspects were described as three boys and one girl ranging in age from 14 to 18 years old, police said. No arrests have been made.

The victim was hospitalized with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries. His condition as of Monday morning is unknown.
