Let the debate begin: Who does Suri Cruise look like: A) Tom Cruise; B) Katie Holmes; C) All of the above; or D) None of the above?
The world is finally getting its first look at 4½-month-old Suri in a 22-page spread in the October issue of Vanity Fair, which hit newsstands in Los Angeles and New York on Wednesday and goes nationwide Tuesday.
In the pictures shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz, Suri, with bright blue eyes and thick brown hair, is seen peeking out of her father’s leather jacket while her mom hovers over his shoulder.
"She has Kate’s lips and eyes," Cruise, 44, told Vanity Fair, while Holmes, 27, says, "I think she has Tom’s eyes. I think she looks like Tom."
The couple goes on to say they were shocked by all the "Where’s Suri?" controversy.
"We were just living our lives, being a family," Cruise said. "Actually, we were taking our own photos and always planned to release those at the right time."
Holmes also goes on the defensive and lashes out at the gossip pages (ahem), claiming they print false stories about her, Cruise, Suri, her and Cruise’s relationship and Holmes’ family.
"Some of the crap that’s out there — the stuff that’s said about my parents and my siblings — it’s really frustrating the amount of [bleep] that’s out there," Holmes said. "And the stuff they say about Suri? You shouldn’t say that about us, and you can’t say that about my child."
It looks like it’s over before it ever really began for John Mayer and Jessica Simpson.
Oh-so-dreamy Mayer has given the former Mrs. Nick Lachey a one-way ticket to Dumpsville, because Simpson’s cohorts just won’t shut up, talking to the press about every little thing.
According to Mayer’s big-mouthed buddies, the singer-songwriter feels that the "Public Affair" singer was using him to get attention.
"The thing between Jessica and John was a two that her camp spun into an 11," a source told Us Weekly. "John thinks it’s a desperate attempt to stay in the spotlight."
Really? Jessica likes the spotlight? Who knew?
Speaking of being dumped, after four on-again, off-again years, Orlando Bloom and Kate Bosworth have called it quits.
Gossip hounds have been barking about the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star, 29, and "Superman Returns" actress, 24, for a while, so this breakup shouldn’t be a shock to anyone.
Of course, this could make things really awkward on the set of "Seasons of Dust," which the uncouple are scheduled to begin filming later this month.
Rocker-turned-profes-sional junkie Pete Doherty has been evicted from his London flat.
The Babyshambles frontman, who is more famous for dating supermodel Kate Moss and his repeated drug arrests, got the boot after trashing the place, resulting in almost $450,000 worth of damage, and owing more than $10,000 in rent.
"There’s graffiti and blood on the walls," landlord Andreas Panayiotoi told London’s
Daily Mirror. "We have never known anyone like him."
Keep in mind it’s wrong to laugh when people cry.
Paris Hilton was reduced to tears after being denied entry into New York nightclub Bungalow 8, because the hotspot was full to capacity.
"She was sobbing and kept saying she was Paris Hilton and she
didn’t understand — all she wanted to do was dance," a witness told Life & Style Weekly.
Raise your hand if you feel sorry for Paris Hilton. Anyone? Anyone?
