Stabbed man takes Muni to SF General

A man stabbed in the chest after intervening in a domestic spat in the Western Addition Thursday took Muni across town to the hospital, police said.

The 60-year-old victim was apparently attacked in the 1500 block of Steiner Street around 3 p.m. The victim told police he saw a domestic dispute between the suspect, a man in his 30s, and an unknown person.

The victim was stabbed by the suspect for trying to stop the fight, police said. He then boarded a Muni bus to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was treated for injuries that were not life threatening.

No arrest has been made.
