Slash to open for Ozzy

Ozzy Osbourne was happy to howl “Crucify The Dead” on the eponymous debut of ex-Guns N’ Roses guitarslinger Slash.

Now — quid pro quo, Clarisse — Slash and his band (featuring Myles Kennedy on vocals) will be returning the sinister favor by opening the Ozzman’s entire upcoming North American tour, which hits San Jose’s HP Pavilion on Feb. 3.

Not a bad tradeoff, all told.

While the latest single and video from Slash happens to be “Beautiful Dangerous,” featuring Black Eyed Peas vixen Fergie, the axeman’s set won’t be revolving around said solo set. He’ll also be delving deep into the catalogs of GNR, Velvet Revolver and even his old outfit Snakepit, named for his basement studio that once housed every type of viper imaginable. All leading up to a soon-to-be-scheduled ceremony in which Slash will receive his own star on Hollywood’s Walk Of Fame.
