S.F. issuing coyote warning 

Signs will soon be springing up at 14 sites throughout The City to warn residents about coyotes.

The Recreation and Park Department and the Animal Care and Control will be putting up the signage in location where coyotes have previously been sighted.

The signs will inform the public on how to take precautions when encountering a coyote.

Coyote attacks on humans and pets were once thought to be rare. The number of sightings are on the rise in urban areas nationwide.

Coyote sightings and aggressive behavior can be reported to the to Animal Care and Control at (415) 554-9400 or acc@sfgov.org.
