S.F. General Hospital: Groundbreaking for new facility on Thursday 


Officials will celebrate the official groundbreaking for the rebuild of The City’s public hospital Thursday. In 2008, city voters approved an $887.4 million general obligation bond for the project, which will bring the hospital up to state required standards for seismic safety. The new hospital and trauma center is scheduled to be completed in 2015. The ceremony will start at 1 p.m.
