These thieves have so far gotten away with their dirty deeds. Below are the major police incidents of Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
6:45 a.m. Tuesday
Milan Terrace near Huran Avenue
A thug demanded a 24-year-old man’s phone. The victim fought back, but the suspect managed to remove the phone from his pocket and flee. The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.
7:55 p.m. Tuesday
Laguna Street near Market Street
A 55-year-old woman was held up by a knife-wielding man. The suspect was knocked to the ground and passed out. She lost cash and her keys and was transported to UC San Francisco with injuries that were not life threatening.
10:20 p.m. Tuesday
Leavenworth near Eddy
A 44-year-old man was selling goods out of a suitcase on the street when a thug in his 20s tried to take his stuff. The victim resisted, but the thug knocked him to the ground and fled with his ID card, checkbook and cash.
2:10 a.m. Wednesday
Sunnydale housing projects
A 31-year-old woman heard a noise in her living room, investigated and came upon a crook swiping her laptop from a table. The suspect, an 18-year-old man, fled with two others.
2:20 a.m. Wednesday
18th Street near Valencia Street
A 33-year-old man was asleep and awoke to a noise. He inspected and saw a thief in his living room climbing out of the window with his laptop. No arrest.
