Friends of Casey Johnson are facing off against the late socialite’s fiancée, Tila Tequila. Though the reality star claims she’s devastated by the shocking death of her “wifey” at 30, the heiress’ disgusted pals and loved ones say she’s only milking Casey’s memory for publicity.
The “A Shot at Love” alum claimed Wednesday — via Twitter, of course — that she would be “Meeting with my family and my Fiance’s Family.” But a rep for the Johnsons, of Band-Aid and baby-oil fame, shot down that claim … and a source connected with the clan declared to the New York Daily News that “Casey’s family and friends would rather deal with the Devil” than with Tila.
Tila freaked out that same day when Casey BFFs Nicky Hilton and Bijou Phillips arrived to cart some of the tragic blonde’s belongings out of her house — along with two dogs. “They don’t care about the dogs. They are putting them to sleep to bury with Casey,” Tila protested to paparazzi on the scene. (The Johnsons’ rep denied this.) On her Twitter, she posted a series of rants claiming she was Casey’s sole source of support, that “she loved me more” than her family, and raging, “Now that she’s gone her family and so called ‘FRIENDS’ pop up at my house, stealing our stuff & acting like they care?”
Meanwhile, Courtenay Semel, an ex of both women, fumed to People magazine, “The thing I find the most sickening is that the media is giving [her] the one thing she craves: attention. Tila, you knew her for a week.” (Actually, it was more like a month.)
Though we feel for anyone who loses a loved one, we can’t help but concur Tila’s “grieving” process is suspect. Seriously, who tweets that much when they’re in mourning?
Tiger Woods’ whereabouts have been a mystery since the post-Thanksgiving car accident that set a spiraling sex scandal in motion. Now, a report claims that the golf great has been holed up at a billionaire mogul’s New York home since a week after the incident.
The owner of NYC’s famed Madison Square Garden, James Dolan, invited him to stay at a posh Long Island manse, a source tells Us magazine, adding, “Tiger’s been seeing a shrink who goes to Dolan’s house.”
Thanks to the billionaire’s fleet of private jets, the disgraced athlete is said to come and go as he pleases. “[Dolan]’s the one keeping him under the radar,” the source notes. “Jet-setting everywhere. I know Tiger’s flown on Jim’s jet from Florida probably three times.”
A rep for MSG calls the report of Tiger’s cushy refuge “categorically false.” Nevertheless, we assume that somewhere, some guy who’s been sleeping on his buddy’s couch since his girlfriend kicked him out is now quietly sobbing.
Mariah Carey shows a new side of herself onscreen in “Precious” — and she definitely showed an, ahem, interesting side of herself when she accepted an award for the role at the Palm Beach Film Festival. And the diva confirmed suspicions that her rambling, slurred speech was because — yup — she’d been drinking.
“The thing is, me and [‘Precious’ director] Lee [Daniels] hadn’t seen each other in a while,” the singer told reporters. “I love Lee, but he’s a bad influence!”
Before the show, the pair had some “splashes of champagne” to toast the acclaimed film, Mariah explained. “We’d been sitting there, celebrating this whole time and having little splashes, and I hadn’t eaten.”
Hey, most celebs would have claimed they were dehydrated, exhausted, or reacting to a homeopathic supplement. Kudos to Mimi for honesty!
