How’s Sandra Bullock handling the devastating news of her husband’s alleged infidelity?
The actress hasn’t been seen since tattooed model Michelle “Bombshell” McGee announced she’d had an affair with biker Jesse James. An insider said she’s laying low while she figures out what to do next. And while she’s been in contact with her hubby, Sandra’s still making up her mind as to whether she’ll take him back. Her rep told E! that rumors she and Jesse had contacted divorce lawyers are “completely false.”
“[Sandra is] keeping to herself and there are people in her life to help her through this, including her family, especially her father,” a friend told the New York Post. “Sandra is a strong woman, but this is such a mess for her. She just won an Academy Award and was celebrating that. Her win should be her focus, but instead she’s hiding out and angry with Jesse.”
The friend said the blindsided “Blind Side” star was so in love, “any small betrayal would have hurt her.” And this one wasn’t so small: Jesse allegedly had an 11-month on-off fling with the inked-up exotic dancer.
Still, Sandy, who’s apparently as plucky off screen as she is on, isn’t letting the news destroy her, the pal said. “Friends have been calling and checking up on her, but she’s doing better every day. She will bounce back.”
But the marriage is what may be irrevocably broken. “I think it’s unlikely that Sandra will take Jesse back,” the friend said. “This is going to be a lot for her to overcome. She’s a strong, smart woman, and she knows what is best for her. She is taking it one day at a time.”
Maybe she should give Elin Nordegren a call.
Well, this is interesting. Though they are in the process of divorcing, Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley decided to form a permanent bond — with tattoos. The singer and the Sum 41 rocker were spotted by paparazzi emerging from an L.A. tattoo parlor, both with bandaged forearms.
The pair visited hot spots Madeo and Chateau Marmont earlier, and didn’t arrive at Tattoo Mania until 1 a.m., TMZ reported. That would be — fun fact — the same spot where Deryck was seen last fall canoodling with a new lady friend, the week after his wife filed for divorce.
This really takes the prize. It’s rash enough when current couples get tats together — but once you’ve filed for divorce from someone?
“Real Housewives of New York” star Bethenny Frankel is about to become, well, a real housewife — and she’s doing up her nuptials in true diva fashion, complete with TV cameras and feuding with co-stars.
The pregnant foodie’s wedding to Jason Hoppy will be televised for a Bravo show, naturally, and the wedding invitation reads like a consent form, with guests told that they will have to give permission to be recorded and to have their names and likenesses used.
Plus, any cell phones and PDAs brought by guests will be confiscated, and “everyone who’s been invited was asked to sign a contract to ensure no one would take photos,” a source told Life&Style magazine. Sounds romantic!
One person who won’t have to worry about signing any paperwork: Bethenny’s now-estranged former BFF, Jill Zarin, who confessed to the tabloid, “I wasn’t invited to the wedding.” We’re surprised Bravo producers didn’t insist she get on the guest list. What a missed opportunity for drama!
