Paris Hilton channeled her inner-Mel Gibson early Thursday and was arrested for alleged drunken driving.
Hollywood police officers pulled over the hotel-heiress-turned-amateur-adult-film-star-turned-reality-show-star-turned-actress-turned-singer’s Mercedes at 12:30 a.m. after she was spotted driving erratically. "The officers observed that Hilton exhibited the symptoms of intoxication. A field sobriety test was conducted at scene, and the officers determined she was driving under the influence," Officer I. Isabella said, according to The Associated Press.
Hilton was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence and released on her own recognizance. She was picked up by her sister, Nicky, Nicky’s boyfriend, "Entourage" star Kevin Connolly, and Hilton’s hard-working rep Elliot Mintz.
Mintz said the "singer" had one margarita on anempty stomach and had been "working all day and being fatigued." Umm, Paris? Working?
"She’s absolutely fine," Mintz said. "She didn’t appear in the least bit to be intoxicated." Although Mintz said Hilton had the minimum blood-alcohol level to warrant an arrest. The legal limit in California is 0.08.
Hilton still faces charges for crimes against music, movies and humanity.
Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan is not a Justin Timberlake fan.
Meighan says that the former *NSYNC-er, who’s latest single,
"SexyBack," is climbing the music charts, is just a tool of the music industry.
"He’s a midget with whiskers who is just trying to be black," Meighan said, according to Life & Style Extra. "He’s a puppet in a million-dollar suit who has had his strings cut off. It’s just money music. Absolute rubbish. You can smell the money coming off it."
Kasabian bassist Christopher Edwards seconded his bandmate’s emotions, saying,
"‘SexyBack’? More like hairy back. It’s the worst title of any record I’ve ever heard!"
Ben Affleck thinks breaking up with Jennifer Lopez has improved his movie career.
The man who co-starred in box-office duds "Gigli" and "Jersey Girl" with J.Lo said their relationship made him pessimistic about making movies.
"I did popcorn stuff. But I didn’t realize that there are good popcorn movies and bad popcorn movies," Affleck, who made such bad popcorn movies as "Reindeer Games," "Armageddon," "Forces of Nature," "Daredevil," "Paycheck," "Surviving Christmas" and the granddaddy of horrible movies, "Pearl Harbor," told The Daily Record. "Ultimately, I found myself with the horrible feeling of being trapped inside this tabloid situation where my personal life was all out there."
But now that he’s traded in Jennifer Lopez for Jennifer Garner, Affleck has new and improved career goals.
"I kind of made a decision to just do the kind of movies I want and that I could be proud of being in, and not work for money or work to be famous or for any of that stuff," the "Hollywoodland" star said.
It looks like this might be the last season for Fox’s once-great "The O.C." Lest you forget, Mischa Barton left the show in May, when her character, Marissa Cooper, died in a car accident, which, of course, played out over a very moving emo song by a band you’ve never heard of.
Now, Rachel Bilson, who plays Summer, is talking about the show like she’s sooo over it already.
"I just feel like the show is over," Bilson told Teen Vogue. "I’m so happy for everything it brought me, and it’s been such a great experience, but I think we’re all ready to move on."
Ummm, Rachel, you might want to wait to see how your new movie "The Last Kiss" does before you start quitting your day job.
