Scoop! Pamela opens up about split from Kid

Pamela Anderson says her recent four-month marriage to Kid Rock was a misguided romantic whim. "It was a big mistake," Pam acknowledged to radio icon Howard Stern. "But I was in St. Tropez — I would have married the fisherman on the corner!"

She alsorebukes Kid’s claims that she spent more time partying than caring for their blended family (she has two boys from her marriage to Tommy Lee; Kid has one son), insisting, "I was in Vancouver doing a movie three days a week, and I would come home for the four-day weekend to be with my kids."

When the actress and the Detroit rocker reunited this summer, years after a first broken engagement, "it was just [the] long time apart and the whole idea of … not having to introduce somebody new to my kids" that made Pam believe it could work again. "We just knew each other. We both wanted a family, we both have kids. But when we were together it just wasn’t a good thing. We’re just two very different people."

Concludes Pam sagely, "You remember really quickly when you get back together why you’re not together."

Baby Love

The October birth of son Miller Steven and daughter Johnnie Rose was the "most amazing thing on earth," Melissa Etheridge tells Us Weekly. But for the rocker and actress wife Tammy Lynn (nee Michaels), becoming parents of twins wasn’t easy.

First, the couple’s plans to add to their family (Melissa already had daughter Bailey and son Beckett) were put on hold by Tammy’s work on shows like "The L Word." After trying to juggle acting and stepmotherhood, Tammy tells the mag, caring for the kids "ended up being so fulfilling that I didn’t focus on my career."

But then Melissa’s battle with breast cancer further postponed pregnancy plans. And when she was out of the woods and they were finally ready to conceive (with an anonymous donor), the process was not easy on Tammy.

"IVF is so painful that when you’re waiting to see if you’re pregnant, it feels like you’re pregnant anyway because of all the hormones," Melissa explains. "It’s a really hard thing for a woman to go through. The first month she was recovering from the IVF and then she had morning sickness."

Poor Tammy subsisted entirely on Taco Bell — to the point where Melissa "thought [the twins] were going to come out as little tacos." No word on whether they considered Chalupa as a baby name.

Anna Has Landed

For the first time since September, when she gave birth to daughter Dannielynn and lost son Daniel, embattled model-reality star Anna Nicole Smith has left the Bahamas and returned to the United States.

Friday, Anna appeared in court in San Francisco to deal with her still-dragging-on lawsuit over the estate of late husband J. Howard Marshall, now in mediation. The widow’s bid to get her hands on the tycoon’s $88 million fortune was OK’d by the Supreme Court this year.

Anna’s legal team has been working overtime lately, what with one ex-boyfriend evicting her from his Bahamas home (as Scoop! recently reported) and another ex, photographer Larry Birkhead, challenging her claim that lawyer partner Howard K. Stern, is Dannielynn’s father. Howard was himself served with court papers during Friday’s court visit, alleging perjury in that paternity suit.

Of his self-proclaimed baby-mama’s return to America after her self-imposed Bahamas exile, Birkhead commented to E! Online, "I think it’s awful funny that Anna Nicole can come in when she smelled money, but she couldn’t come in to bring the baby in for a three-second paternity test. I think it’s obvious what makes Anna Nicole’s wheels turn."
