Once a heartthrob to throes of teenage girls everywhere, former ’N Sync "singer" Lance Bass revealed to People Magazine that he is indeed gay, something we could have predicted as a no-brainer for a number of years.
"I knew that I was in this popular band and I had four other guys’ careers in my hand, and I knew that if I ever acted on it or even said [that I was gay], it would overpower everything," Bass says of his former fellow sexually ambiguous boy-banders Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, J.C. Chasez and straight-as-an-arrow Justin Timberlake.
Bass says he’s relieved to have this monkey off his back after being emotionally fraught for years about people finding out. "The thing is, I’m not ashamed — that’s the one thing I want to say," he told People. "I don’t think it’s wrong, I’m not devastated going through this. I’m more liberated and happy than I’ve been my whole life. I’m just happy."
But wait, there’s more. Bass says he has been in a "very stable" relationship with model-"actor" Richen Lehmkuhl, whose name might ring a bell as he won the fourth season of "The Amazing Race" and has been trying to extend his 15 minutes of reality fame by participating in the awful "Kill Reality" TV series and the even-worse "The Scorned" film that accompanied it.
Bass also is developing a sitcom with his best buddy, Fatone, inspired by "The Odd Couple" but featuring a character that will be gay. The running name for the show? "Lance and Grace."
"Singer" Britney Spears is having a rough time with baby No. 2 and went into false labor July 15, according to In Touch Weekly.
But it might be her own fault, a blabby buddy told the magazine.
"She wasn’t eating enough vegetables," the buddy says, and needs to stay away from the junk food that has occupied her first two
So, Spears, seven months pregnant, hired a nutritionist to get her to lay off the Doritos, eat more carrots and avoid spending the last months of her pregnancy on bed rest.
Now if she would just call a divorce attorney to get her to lay off the K-Feds.
Twice-divorced Uma Thurman tells The Mirror her next conquest will be a boy toy after dumping hotel boss Andre Balazs, saying she normally dates older guys but at 48, we guess Balazs was just "too old."
"I know women who like to have ‘boy toys’ — and actually I could grow into that," Thurman says, although up until this point she has looked to men for guidance and wisdom with her life and career.
The "My Super-Ex Girlfriend" star then offered this nugget of wisdom of her own — that different types of men prefer different types of women and vice versa. Wow.
Then, on cue, Thurman delivered the classic "potential lovers are put off by her stardom" line since she’s so beautiful and accomplished. "It’s hard to get a date as a famous woman," the "Kill Bill" star says. Sure, everyone hates dating hot, megarich firstname.lastname@example.org Sonia Mansfield is on vacation.
