While Brittany Murphy’s mother, Sharon Murphy, is mourning the loss of her beloved son-in-law Simon Monjack, her other family members ... well, they aren’t. The late “Clueless” star’s brother, Tony Bertolotti, told Radar Online, “I didn’t have a reaction to the news” of Simon’s death. “I wasn’t shocked, to be honest. Monjack had all his wagons circled and he couldn’t do it any longer.
“The guy was insane — he tried to keep my father’s name off [Brittany’s] death certificate. When I told my dad, Angelo, about the news, he felt he same way. We are sad for my sister, not for him.
“That’s two out of three people that have died living in that house within six months. When are people going to open their eyes about what was going on there? Our family thinks that this thing will still blow up, and that the truth will eventually come out about our sister.
“At this time we have no sympathy for her mother, as she went along with what Simon Monjack wanted. Our thoughts and prayers are for Brittany Murphy.”
Wow. Some pretty harsh words. Wonder what “truth” he thinks will come out.
Well, now we feel duped! We told you Tuesday that Lindsay Lohan’s attorney pleaded with a judge to let her skip the alcohol-monitoring anklet and do random sobriety tests instead — since the bulky device would hamper her ability to shoot an upcoming film in Texas. (The judge wasn’t buying that excuse, and ordered her to sport the accessory.)
However, TMZ learned that LiLo is not, in fact, scheduled to do any filming in Texas!
Keep this up, young lady, and you’re going to destroy your credibility. Oh, wait ...
It looks like Jamie-Lynn Sigler has moved on from her “Entourage” funnyman beau Jerry Ferrara. And if you’re the superficial type — which, of course, we are — you’ll have to admit her new man is a major upgrade, looks-wise.
Though the former “Sopranos” actress and New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez are officially “just friends,” they’ve been spending a lot of time together. Most recently, they hung with Jamie’s BFF Lance Bass in the VIP room of an ’80s tribute show Saturday night in NYC, even joining the band onstage for the finale, the New York Post reported.
So for those of you who hoped a sense of humor really was more important than a handsome face and a buff bod ... yeah, no.
Not again! David Hasselhoff checked into an L.A.-area hospital Sunday, Radar Online reported — and once again, it was 17-year-old daughter Hayley who brought him there.
A source told the website that the actor, who has famously battled alcoholism, had been drinking for three days prior to the incident.
The “Baywatch” star has downplayed his repeat trips to the hospital and maintains he has successfully overcome his addiction.
“I’m sure he’ll try to deny it this time too,” the source said. “And that’s sad, because it’s his daughter who is suffering when she has to take care of him after a bender.”
