  • The book 'Mein Kampf' (My Struggle) by Adolf Hitler is pictured during a press preview of 'Hitler and the Germans Nation and Crime' (Hitler und die Deutschen Volksgemeinschaft und Verbrechen) at Deutsches Historisches Museum (German Historical Museum) on October 13, 2010 in Berlin, Germany.
Make of this what you will, but Gawker is reporting that sales of Adolf Hitler’s manifesto “Mein Kampf” have been surging since it became available as an e-book.

Boston journalist Chris Farone noticed the trend, finding that digital versions of the book ranked 12th and 15th on the politics and current events section of the iTunes bookstore, alongside offerings by modern conservative powerhouses such as Sarah Palin, Charles Krauthammer and Glenn Beck.

Farone points out that the anonymity of online purchasing has been a boon for certain kinds of books: “These are things that people are embarrassed to read otherwise.”
