It looks like those rumors about Jamie Foxx and Carmen Electra weren’t true after all.
The Oscar-winning actor is reportedly dating British jazz singer Alexia Collen, whom he met in a London nightclub back in April. Foxx brought his new lady love to the London opening of "Miami Vice" last week.
"He’s definitely really into her and it’s more than just lust — he’s so keen," an insider told News of the World.
Foxx has even asked Collen to pick up and move to Los Angeles so they can spend more time together, but Collen isn’t so sure she’s ready to starting packing just yet. She’s allegedly overwhelmed by Foxx’s lavish lifestyle and concerned about his ladies’ man reputation.
"Alexia is a little unsure," the source said. "She thinks he’s lovely but is overawed by the Hollywood thing and is trying to get herself a name as a jazz singer in London."
You think Alexia saw "Stealth"? Just wondering.
The karma chameleon has caught up with Boy George.
The former Culture Club singer will fulfill his community service requirement for a March arrest by picking up trash in New York’s notoriously humid August weather.
For five days starting Aug. 14, Boy George will don plastic gloves, carry a shovel and a broom and clean up parts of Chinatown and Little Italy.
"This is the epitome of community service," sanitation department spokesman Vito Turso told the New York Daily News. "It’s not like he’s going to be working in an air-
Dina Lohan is defending her daughter Lindsay after a movie studio head issued a letter to the young actress calling her unprofessional for missing a day of work on her latest film, "Georgia Rule."
Lindsay called in sick to work last week, citing the ever-popular "dehydration." But James G. Robinson, CEO of Morgan Creek Productions, claimed Lindsay was just pulling a Ferris Bueller after a night of heavy partying.
"On the set it was 105 degrees," Dina told People magazine. "And she has bronchial asthma — so any extreme heat or cold, she can’t breathe. [Lindsay] was wearing winter clothes and she was telling people, ‘I need water, I need water.’ And they just want to get the shot, want to get the shot."
For his part, Robinson said he
didn’t mean for the letter to get out (it first appeared on The Smoking Gun), and it wasn’t intended to be harsh.
Of course, all this brouhahaover her partying didn’t deter the Lindsay we all know and mock, errr, love. The 20-year-old actress spent the weekend in Vegas and was spotted at Los Angeles nightclub Hyde on Monday night.
So, how clueless is Dina about her daughter’s club-hoppin’, hard-drinkin’ ways and the effect it’s having on her career? Judge for yourself: "She will win an Academy Award for this picture," Dina told People. Justice!
Fletch lives … again!
Fans of the original 1985 "Fletch" movie and the terrific novel series about a mystery solvin’, wise crackin’ reporter will be happy to know that "Scrubs" creator Bill Lawrence has signed on to adapt and direct "Fletch Won" to be released next year.
Sorry, Chevy Chase fans (we think there are still some out there), "Fletch Won" is a prequel.
"The coolest thing about the ‘Fletch Won’ book is that it’s an origin story," Lawrence said. "Like ‘Batman Begins,’ I think people will enjoy seeing how Irwin Fletcher became Fletch. Not only can I recite the original ‘Fletch’ movie line for line, I actually read all the Greg Mcdonald books as a kid. Consider me obsessed. I’m going to try as hard as I can not to screw this up."
No cast has been announced yet, but we think "My Name is Earl" star Jason Lee would be email@example.com
