You know what they say, the couple that goes to NASCAR together, stays together.
It looks like recently separated Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson are trying to work things out.
Last week, the couple was spotted having a relaxed breakfast together with son Ryder, and now the actress and Black Crowes singer have plans to spend Labor Day weekend at the California Speedway in Fontana, watching the Sony HD 500 NASCAR race.
"They never really split," an insider told the New York Post. "They love each other."
Two weeks ago, the couple announced they were going their separate ways after five years of marriage, amid rumors that Hudson was snuggling up with her "You, Me and
Dupree" co-star Owen Wilson. Wilson has adamantly denied any wrongdoing and threatened to sue anyone who said otherwise.
"Owen doesn’t want to be forever known as the guy who broke up Kate Hudson’s marriage," a source told Star magazine.
Jessica Simpson has been told to be quiet.
The singer, who is out doing the publicity thing for her new album, "A Public Affair," which dropped Tuesday, is under doctor’s orders to rest her voice.
Simpson had to cancel her musical appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman," but the former Mrs. Nick Lachey is hoping to be better in time for her "Today" appearance on Friday.
"It is true that she has indeed lost her voice. She’s been ordered to rest. She can talk, she can croak out a few sentences," Simpson’s publicist, Rob Shuter, told AP. "She sounds a little off, but, you know, she can’t sing."
Unfortunately, no one thought of that before she started recording the album.
Quiet! The Boss is speaking!
Bruce Springsteen is denying that his marriage to Patti Scialfa is over with a post on his Web site.
The usually private singer wrote he didn’t want to post anything personal on the Web site, which he believes should be for fans to get his music, but the stories about his marriage could no longer be ignored.
The New York Post reported that Springsteen and Scialfa (who have three children together — Evan, 16, Jessica, 14, and Sam, 12) had parted ways and that the singer has been spotted cozying up to a Sept. 11 widow he met while working on a charity event.
"Due to the unfounded and ugly rumors that have appeared in the papers over the last few days, I felt they shouldn’t pass without comment," Springsteen wrote on brucespringsteen.net. "Patti and I have been together for 18 years — the best 18 years of my life. We have built a beautiful family we love and want to protect and our commitment to one another remains as strong as the day we were married."
Perhaps Tara Reid would like to star in "My Life on the D-List"?
The actress-turned-professional-party girl tried to get into über-hip L.A. nightclub Hyde the other night, but was turned away. Looking less-than-hot with her blond hair extensions, the "American Pie" star tried to walk in but was stopped at the door.
Meanwhile, former best buddy Paris Hilton sauntered in without a problem.
The best part: Hilton saw Reid standing there and didn’t help a sista out! Oh, and the folks at TMZ.com have the entire thing on video!
