Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have laid the groundwork for a split, according to a British report. News of the World claims the unmarried power couple visited divorce lawyers — together, apparently — to hash out a multimillion-dollar agreement dividing their assets and splitting custody of the kids. Call it a non-nup?
“The document was signed in early January” by both parties, a source told the paper, explaining that “the contract was like a tailor-
made version of a prenuptial agreement, except for an unmarried couple’s split.”
“It seemed clear they want the world to know they’ll both play a part in the upbringing of the children,” the source said of the pair’s six kids. “But Angelina will actually be the one who lives with them full time.”
So does this mean Brangelina is no more? Not necessarily, for now at least. “There’s no date for when the contract would come into effect,” the source said. “But the paperwork is already organized for a breakup — and for it to be as unmessy for them as possible. It is clear it’s a case of when they break up rather than if.”
But sources close to the couple brushed off the report. One told People magazine that “everything is fine” between them, while another dismisses the tabloid talk as “totally false.” Whew! We can sleep soundly now!
Is Prince William finally ready to make girlfriend Kate Middleton a princess? The longtime couple met with Wills’ dad, Prince of Wales Charles, to discuss an engagement and wedding planning, according to a report in British OK!
The British heir, who recently became a Royal Air Force pilot as his longtime love looked on, is also said to have visited his future fiancee’s parents to tell them an engagement is imminent — though a wedding is reportedly unlikely to happen within the year.
“Even though William has his wings he still has lots more training and flying commitments with the [Royal Air Force], and there is also a general election, so they will probably marry next year,” a family friend said.
Hope so! Kate seems like a stand-up girl — and it’s been way too long since we had a royal wedding to sigh over!
As Scoop! told you last week, a worrisome report surfaced in Star magazine claiming that Rihanna’s new beau, Matt Kemp, had a secret in his past: An ex-girlfriend filed a restraining order, claiming he menaced and harassed her. But the Los Angeles Dodgers player’s agent says the order is a “nonissue” and was unfounded.
“Matt dated [actress] Felisha [Terrell] about two years ago and decided to end their relationship,” Matt’s agent told E! in a statement. “She chose to file a complaint and shortly thereafter, on her own accord, decided to drop it based on the fact that the statements made within were false.”
“She has very recently said that she has no issue whatsoever with Matt and that she and Matt consider this to be a nonissue,” the statement said. “Matt Kemp is a consummate Midwestern gentleman who has never displayed any act of violence towards a woman.”
And his ex’s rep backs that up, saying, “During the course of the relationship, there was a restraining order filed by Felisha, but it had nothing to do with domestic violence and to be clear Matt was NEVER physically abusive to Felisha, nor did she fear for her life.”
Glad to hear it! We want our RiRi to be with someone who treats her right.
