So, it wasn’t the greatest love after all.
Whitney Houston is doing "fabulously well" after filing for divorce from her husband of 14 years, Bobby Brown, a friend of Houston’s told People magazine.
Of course, the impending divorce isn’t shocking. The most shocking thing about the "Being Bobby Brown" co-stars is the fact that the tumultuous couple lasted this long. When Houston wasn’t in rehab, Brown was in jail.
Gossip hounds had been barking that Brown was foolin’ around on Houston with hip-hop music video regular Karrine Steffans, who wrote the tell-all "Confessions Of A Video Vixen" and often hints that she had an affair with the "My Prerogative" singer.
On top of that, earlier this week, Houston — looking happier and healthier than she has in years — attended the Ella Awards in Los Angeles sans Brown.
We think this is a perfect opportunity to catch Osama bin Laden. A month ago, one of bin Laden’s former lovers, Kola Boof, who was making the PR rounds promoting her new book, admitted that America’s most wanted villain is obsessed with the "I Will Always Love You" singer. Perhaps a single Houston could lure him out of hiding?
Speaking of divorce, Christie Brinkley has decided to cut ties with her cheatin’ hubby, Peter Cook.
The supermodel filed for divorce from her fourth husband, after learning of his affair with an 18-year-old employee at his architectural firm.
"[Cook] was hopeful that he and Ms. Brinkley would be able to work their way through this problem and put their marriage back together, but obviously she has decided otherwise," Cook’s lawyer told The Associated Press.
Well, we’re sure Brinkley was hopeful that her husband of 10 years wouldn’t cheat.

Scarlett Johansson said shooting a love scene for the new movie "Black Dahlia" with her boyfriend, co-star Josh Hartnett, was more like staging a boxing match.
"Obviously it was interesting doing that scene with Josh," Johansson told Ananova.com. "But I have to say it wasn’t particularly romantic.
"You have about 10 electricians chewing on sandwiches and staring at you as you writhe around. Then you have the director [Brian De Palma] shouting orders at you to ‘move here’ and ‘put your hand there.’"
Still, it beats actually working for a living — right, Scarlett?
Kate Bosworth is getting in touch with her inner Nicole Richie.
The "Superman Returns" star, whose weight loss earlier this year has been the topic of much discussion, is looking like a broomstick since her breakup with boyfriend of four years Orlando Bloom.
Sources say that the 23-year-old actress has to have size 0 clothes taken in.
"She looked extremely frail and fragile, as though she would break in half," a witness at the Luella fashion show, where Bosworth refused all interviews, told Us Weekly.firstname.lastname@example.org
