San Mateo man shot on Christmas morning 

A San Mateo man was shot while standing in the street on Christmas morning, police said.

The 20-year-old resident was in the 1700 block of Eisenhower Street in San Mateo around 12:20 a.m. when he was shot, cops said. He was transported to the hospital for his injuries, which were not life threatening.

As of Wednesday no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing, San Mateo police Sgt. Dave Norris said. No further information is available at this time, he said.

San Mateo police are asking the public’s assistance in this case.
