Around one-fourth of eligible San Francisco voters cast ballots in June, which represented an increase in voter turnout compared with the May 2009 election.
New figures from the Office of the California Secretary of State show that 155,533 San Franciscans voted in June.
That represented 25.2 percent of eligible voters in The City and 34.7 percent of registered San Francisco voters, the figures show. Roughly 815,000 people live in San Francisco.
