San Francisco Board of Supervisors hold Election Day meeting 

While the Board of Supervisors does not meet on Tuesdays following a Monday holiday, the legislative body does meet Tuesday even though it’s Election Day and most citizens are engaged in voting for their next San Francisco mayor and a number of significant ballot measures, like dueling pension measures and a half cent sales tax.

While question time with the mayor would generally take place during this meeting, it has been rescheduled to next week’s meeting instead — in case you were worried you’d miss all that excitement.

What is up for debate is legislation around budgeting policies, such as restricting use of one-time revenue, a second and final vote on rules of conduct for nude people, permission for a planned Mission bowling alley to sell alcohol, and the acceptance of a $75,000 gift from Salesforce.com Foundation to the Recreation and Park Department for a web-based donor database so the department can improve its tracking of private donations since it has “increased its efforts to generate contributed income from individuals, corporations and private foundations in order to meet its budget.”
