Ganged up on: At 3:37 a.m. Oct. 21, an officer was working at the police station when she was approached by a man who said he had just been robbed. The man was walking southbound on Leavenworth Street toward Eddy Street when he was approached by six unknown people. One of the people pushed the man, causing him to fall to the ground. After all six attackers delivered numerous blows to the man’s face and body, one of them took $60 and a cell phone out of his pockets. The group fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction before the man ran to the police station. He refused medical attention for his visible injuries, which included swelling to his right cheekbone. Officers searched the area, but they didn’t locate any of the assailants.

Same mistake: At 2:30 p.m. Oct. 24, officers stopped a driver for a license plate violation in the area near Capitol Avenue and Lobos Street. The driver, who lives in the 200 block of Thrift Street, was on probation for drunken driving and was obviously intoxicated. He failed field sobriety and chemical tests and was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.

Soap opera: At 7:53 p.m. Oct. 24, officers responded to the 1800 block of 32nd Avenue about a domestic dispute regarding washing dishes. One person was battered and the other was arrested on suspicion of assault.

Looking guilty:
At 3:27 a.m. Oct. 24, officers met with officers from the Park Station who told them they suspected two men of spray painting walls in the 700 block of Beach Street. The officers located paint cans and evidence on a 20-year-old man and a 22-year-old man.
