Request for a professional backhand in Golden Gate Park

Remember the ongoing rumble about operating a Blue Bottle coffee cart in Dolores Park, which also happens to be on the agenda for Thursday’s Rec and Park Commission meeting?

Well, it looks like park officials are trying to prevent controversy from happening again before they accept applications for instructor at four of the Golden Gate Park tennis courts by holding a public meeting on the issue Saturday.

The meeting is from noon to 1 p.m. at the Tennis Court Complex for anyone interested.

If you’re still curious about where the fresh drip cart will go in Dolores Park, commissioners will discuss it Thursday at their 4 p.m. meeting.

Coincidentally, they will also hear about a more uniform way to maneuver the Rec and Park Department’s outreach. Maybe if it were more fluid, you’d be able to play bocce ball at The Embarcadero by now.
