Red Carpet: SFMOMA honors the Fisher family 

SFMOMA Directors’ Circle Dinner: Some 400 San Francisco Museum of Modern Art supporters gathered to celebrate the closing of “Calder to Warhol: Introducing the Fisher Collection” last week, along with the future of the museum’s partnership with the Fisher family. Among the guests were artists whose work is featured in the exhibit, and principals Craig Dykers and Kjetil Thorsen from Snohetta, the architecture firm in charge of the museum’s building expansion.


Fine-arts dealers support education

SF20: Held Thursday in Fort Mason’s Festival Pavilion, the show and sale featured 20th-century decorative- and fine-arts dealers from across the U.S. and Europe. Proceeds from the event’s preview gala will help underwrite the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s education programs, which reach more than 55,000 children, teachers and families each year.


Bay cruise benefits burn center

‘White Caps and Night Caps’: On Thursday, the Associates of St. Francis Memorial Hospital hosted its second annual benefit — a twilight Bay cruise — for the medical center’s Bothin Burn Center, the only acute-care burn
facility in the Bay Area. The event raised more than $30,000.
