You may be seeing a lot more of San Francisco Recreation and Park Commission members on the television.
Instead of competing with the San Francisco Planning Commission for live coverage, the Recreation and Park Commission is plotting to hold its meetings at 10 a.m., when no other city agencies are starving for the camera’s affection.
The Rec and Park meetings are on the third Thursday of every month at 2 p.m., a half-hour after Planning Commission starts, and usually end up taking the back seat for public broadcast on SFGovTV. But since it’s in the middle of the day and people cannot always attend anyway, commissioners agree it is more important to be taped and accessible than to hold it in the afternoon.
At the last regular meeting Thursday, Rec and Park commissioners agreed to change the time effective in March unless that plan hits some other hiccup.
