That bright spot in the sky that has brought warm weather to San Francisco this week will be covered by clouds over the weekend — and rain might arrive by Monday.

Summer has come and gone, according to the National Weather Service. Fog will start blanketing The City again today, and clouds are expected to return just in time for the weekend.

High temperatures will reach the upper 60s this weekend, but rain is in the forecast for Monday. A quarter- to half-inch of rain is expected.

A “significant” change is expected for the rest of next week, including cooler temperatures and precipitation, according to the weather service. A stronger system is expected to move through the area Tuesday evening.

Winds will be relatively calm this weekend, with gusts hitting 7 mph.
