Punks pilfer purses all over San Francisco

Three women lost their purses in separate strong-arm robberies over the weekend, police said.

The first heist happened at 23rd and Wisconsin streets around 5 p.m. Saturday. After exiting a Muni bus, three hoodlums accosted a 28-year-old woman and stole her cell phone, purse and wallet, police said. The suspects, described only as men in their 20s, then fled the scene.

Around 10:30 p.m. that night, a 50-year-old woman was robbed in the 700 block of Sacramento Street. The crook, a 30-year-old man, grabbed her purse, breaking the strap, and fled, police said.

Then on Sunday around 10 p.m. in the 900 block of Folsom Street, a 50-year-old thug sneaked up behind a 32-year-old woman and snagged her purse from her shoulder, cops said.

Officers responded to the scene and took that suspect into custody, police said.
